ESMA Agrees Position Limits Under MIFID II

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the
EU’s securities markets regulator, has today published twelve opinions on
position limits regarding commodity derivatives under the Markets in Financial
Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II/MIFIR).

FCA highlights concerns when credit firms allow repeat
borrowing
FCA, 6 Aug 2020
The review, which was completed prior to the coronavirus
pandemic, highlights concerns about poor practices by some firms and notes that
nearly half of consumers regretted borrowing more money. As firms in this
sector begin to lend again, the report sets out the FCA’s expectations on how
they must treat consumers.
